SUPPORT OF CITY EMPLOYEES
Let me start by saying: I love Pelham. This city is my hometown. I grew up here in the 1970s and spent my childhood playing baseball at the old city ballpark behind Pelham City Hall. I graduated from Pelham High School, where I participated in several sports and helped start the Pelham chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
After college, I came back home and became the first Pelham High School graduate to serve in the Pelham Police Department. During my time with the department, I held several key roles, including Patrol Officer, Field Training Officer, Lead Traffic Investigator on the city’s first Traffic Unit, and a member of the Fugitive Warrant Division. I spent the final six years of my service in our schools as Pelham’s first DARE Officer.
Throughout my law enforcement career, I was honored to receive several commendations, including:
After retiring from public service, I founded a commercial landscaping company—starting with just myself and two part-time college students. Seven years later, I sold the business after growing it to three divisions and more than 80 employees.
I then served as Chief Operating Officer—and later Vice President—of a national event management company. Our clients included six SEC schools, the PGA, NASCAR, ESPN GameDay, and over 200 entertainment venues nationwide. The company grew to more than 3,000 employees. I was responsible for overseeing all aspects of company operations, budgeting, and growth strategy.
For the past six years, I’ve worked with Research Solutions Group, Inc., an industrial chemical company headquartered right here in Pelham. As Manager of the Specialty Chemical Division, I oversee the research, development, and international marketing of more than 70 specialty products.
Along the way, my greatest accomplishment has been raising my family here in Pelham. My children all graduated from Pelham High School, just like I did. This city has meant the world to all of us.
With a lifelong commitment to Pelham, a proven record in public service and business, and deep roots in this community, I’m ready to serve again.
I’ve served this city as a public servant, been a successful small business owner, and held key leadership roles in companies both local and national. I understand the importance of fiscal responsibility, teamwork, and strategic planning. I have a proven track record of managing large, complex projects—and I never forget the value of working together toward a common goal.
Simply put: I need your help. With your support, we can move Pelham forward—creating a strong, inclusive, and vibrant community that we are all proud to call home.
Let’s build Pelham’s future—together.
